4th COCK & BULL REAL BEER FESTIVAL, SEPTEMBER 3 & 4, 2010
It seems you can handle the taste of 20-ish local-ish beers(not-ish) and ciders twice a year, so here's the autumn festival.
Venue, as before, is York House Centre, London Road, Stony Stratford, MK11 1JQ. Loads of parking at/around the venue, and a good bus service from Cerntral Milton Keynes and Wolverton rail stations.
To complete the joy, there will be some live music on Saturday night with "Good Time Jazz", a Fairtrade stall selling Fairtrade wines and juices, hot food, and the chance to be shouted at by The Juke of Stony when it's time to go home.

The second Cock & Bull Night of Humour will be called “HUMMUS & HUMOURS” on Wednesday September 15th, also at York House (MK11 1JQ on your satnav)?
More silly songs and jocular stuff, but we also offer something a bit different in the form of some succulent Turkish food (hummus to start with, and definitely something involving patlican to follow), all for a mere £6.00, with proceeds to York House Centre and to “Bring The Hungarians Back To Stony” (no, really.). You can bring your own drinks so it’s a cheepocheepo night out. One of our other toys is the WhamBamThankYouLamb! Festival at The Lamb in Stoke Goldington, and September 11th 2010 will see the fifth outing, including the wonderful Pink Cardiacs and their vintage rock’’n’roll, Cloud 9’s superior covers of all sorts, Sian Magill & Equinox adding some excellent young talent, and .... wait for it ... Big Mc & The Doo-Whoppers, threatening to “do” Anarchy In The UK amongst other things.
Rocking Horse Nights continue to provide free music from 9 - 11pm on Saturdays, and on "Horse-Drawn Thursdays" when the music will mellow but still liven up your evening. The White Horse is in Stony Stratford High Street, with a postcode of MK11 1AA and a phone number of 01908 567082.

Sessions abound around here: EVERY SUNDAY lunch time there's a Folk Workshop at The Vaults Bar; every LAST THURSDAY evening at The White Horse; every LAST MONDAY evening, an open session of all styles at The Bull Hotel; every THIRD SUNDAY evening, a tunes-only session at The Swan in Old Stratford; the LAST MONDAY session at The New Inn in New Bradwell has been cancelled owing to p*ss-poor landlord attitutde.
