THE COCK & BULL NIGHT OF HUMOUR IN JULY  raised a lovely £240, split equally between "Help For Heroes" and "Friends of Stony Stratford Health Centre" . Great! Steve Allen's fruity poems complemented John New's unsavoury (and wonderfully non-PC) jokes.  Shining Whit added a good few spoonerismsful of jaunty parodies, and Brad Bradstock poured on the musical creme de la creme. The self-styled Juke of Stony made a dog's dinner of being maitre-de, whilst foisting portions of Ivor Cutler, Lord Byron and John Cooper Clarke on the crowd. Next one? See EVENTS.

3rd COCK & BULL REAL BEER FESTIVAL

Over £1400 was raised at the February festival for York House Centre, helping it develop into a community centre worthy of the town. . SO many good beers, but my favourite for the festival was Nobby's Wild West. Thanks to all the volunteers who worked hard, and to the happy beerophiles. Also thanks to "Lord Hicks" for the montage below. See EVENTS for info on number 4.
