The 7th Cock & Bull Real Beer Festival is all set for February 24th & 25th and will be the launch-pad for Stony Stratford Feastival - see below.

Still with beer: our two favourite pubs in Stony are in the new CAMRA national guide and deservedly so. Congrats to The White Horse (2 real ales, usually "local" stuff like Nobby's, Vale, Great Oakley) and The Fox & Hounds (3-4 beers, a good variety with a good splash of local-ish stuff like Great Oakley). StonyWords!8 - the town's festival of literary stuff has its 8th outing from January 20th to February 1st. Details of confirmed events will be on the StonyWords! page. Not just haggis, but doro wot, on the menu this time.

Stony Stratford's first festival of Food & Drink is officially "Stony Stratford Feastival", and will run from February 24th to March 4th 2012. Already lined up are the 7th Cock & Bull Beer Festival, the launch of Fairtrade Fortnight in the area, a wine-tasting evening, a comestibles-related photographic exhibition, and ditto for a musical jam(!?!?!) session.
